I am so excited! I will be showcasing my Garnet and Zidane cosplays from FFIX at an Otakon photoshoot this year! The cosplays are already done, and I brought them to Anime Boston this year but somehow never got any photos taken. The prop weapons are being made currently. We are making Whale Whisker and Butterfly Sword. FFIX is my favorite Final Fantasy game, and I am SO happy I got the chance to honor this wonderful game by cosplaying the characters!!! I'm finishing up my graduate class for the semester in a couple weeks so I'll be busy with focusing on finals. Then I'll have more time to work on cosplay. My plans this weekend are to modify the harness for Wingul, alter his pants, and start making the sword sheath. I've already obtained a wig for Edea (Bravely Default) and straightened it. I also procured fabric and notions for the Alvin commission I'll be making first and foremost. After Alvin is completed, then going to focus on Bravely Default cosplay. I haven't used DeviantArt in years. So I guess this is a re-opening of sorts. I figured I could showcase my cosplays here. Why not? I have some upcoming photoshoots planned, and sewing more costumes in the coming months! I am on the lookout to make some friends on DA! I work as a full-time clinical scientist and I'm also in graduate school so time is always strapped, but I always want to keep cosplay close to my heart.
